What is a GRP Roof?

GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) is the technical name for what is commonly known as ‘fiberglass’. Originally developed in 1938 for use in insulation, GRP is extremely durable and used for many different application which require cost effective durable waterproofing solutions.

Fiberglass is an extremely strong, waterproof material which is also very versatile, making it the ideal solution for applications such as domestic and commercial roofing systems. Here at New Roofing Limited our expert team of Camberley Fiberglass Roofers have successfully installed Fiberglass Roofing systems to many residential and commercial properties throughout the Camberley region.

Fiberglass is made from chopped strand mat (from glass fibers) which are laid in situe then held together with layers of polyester plastic 'resin'. This then becomes hard after being cured. Once cured the material becomes very tough and robust, and can be formed to any size, shape, colour or thickness.

A crucial key benefit of GRP/Fiberglass is that it is extremely light in weight, making it ideal for roof applications, yet also extremely strong therefor it does not compromise on overall security.

The GRP roofing process ensures that your roof is completely sealed with no joints, this ensure that even the smallest drop of water cannot seep through the roof. Once installed you will not require any maintenance to the roof, leaving you with total piece of mind.
